10 Reasons Why I Want To Visit Virginia Beach

I have lived in Virginia all my life but sadly I have never visited Virginia Beach. It is still at the top of my list of places I want to visit. Here are the top 10 reasons why I want to visit Virginia Beach.

1) I need a vacation. With work, priorities, and stress always around. It would be nice to get away and relax for once. I want to just have fun go dancing, laugh and be carefree. Sometimes it takes time away for a person to really focus on what they want and I think I need some time away.

2) The old Cape Henry Lighthouse.  When I was in college, I had a friend who lived in Virginia Beach and showed me pictures of some of the sights she visited around there.  The Cape Henry Lighthouse was one of them and it always stood out in my mind, probably because I love architecture. And I love the idea of just looking at it and taking pictures around it.

3) Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. I have always wanted to go to this aquarium. I have heard it's one of the nations best and I love going to museums and exploring. I would love to see the animals and wildlife there. I just adore marine animals, the dolphin shows watching them swim. I love it all.

4) Boating. I love getting on boats. And with all the water at Virginia beach it would be fun to go from one place to another on a boat just to explore, sight-see and enjoy life.

5) The Beach. I have never been to the beach  and just lied there.  I have always wanted to do that. But the thought of just laying around the sand with nothing to do bored me. But of course with friends it won't be bad at all. It can actually turn out to be one of my favorite memories.

6) The Boardwalk Because I have never been to the beach, I have always had this romanticized dream of walking on the boardwalks and getting some cotton candy and

7)  Local Historic Homes. As I have said a few times on this blog, I love architecture. Especially historic architecture. Just looking at these old homes and wondering how it was many years ago, and wondering what life was like back then. Older homes have a certain charm and unique construction that they no longer build these days.

8)Ocean Breeze Waterpark. I had some friends who went to college near Virginia Beach and they once talked about how they went to Ocean Breeze Waterpark.  I love waterparks so I have always wanted to go there. Spending the whole hot summer day in water is a great way to cool off.

9)The nightlife. Hey I'm young, and still love to party and I have heard of some great clubs in Virginia Beach. I have heard that both The Cave and Picassos are great clubs that plays music that will keep you dancing and that is enough for me.

10) Restaurants. There are certainly some great restaurants around there. I'm a bit of a foodie. So I would love to experience some new cuisine and I'm sure there would  be some great seafood there.

Of course I can think of more, but I will leave you guys here. I love to travel, and I hope to visit Virginia Beach one day, so I can cross that off the list.
